Nevada Volunteers to Hold ‘Make A Difference Day’ Clothing
Donation Drive
Event to Support Children in Transition
(Reno/Sparks, Nev.) – In honor of “Make a Difference Day” on Oct. 25, Nevada Volunteerswill hold a clothing donation drive in the Reno and Sparks areas to benefit the Washoe County
School District Children in Transition/Homeless Program.
“As cold weather sets in there is a great need for warm sweatshirts and gloves for children of
all ages,” said Janet Wright, volunteer development manager of Nevada Volunteers. “We have set a
goal of 2,008 items to coincide with the 2008 Make a Difference Day.”
Nevada Volunteers and AmeriCorps* members will collect new and gently-used sweatshirts
and gloves of all sizes at various donation drop off-sites including participating Starbucks and
Goodwill stores.
